Things to avoid when running your business

Don't hang on to or take on clients that don't appreciate what you do
Don't take on work that doesn't light you up
Don't take on work just because the fee is attractive (it will still be a chore if you don't like the work!)
Don't do your own bookkeeping - it's a waste of your time when you could be supporting your clients
Don't tolerate poor IT systems - it will cost you time and money
